Where in the World?

As I start off on this adventure, I know one thing.  I am going to New Zealand.   Aside from knowing I will be traveling west, for the most part, I will go where the wind takes me!  My goal is to not see how many countries I can visit in a year (can you say burnout??), but to rather travel slowly and immerse myself in the culture of countries.  I realize I have to plan a bit and take into consideration the season and hopefully not get caught in a monsoon.  I plan on packing clothing for warmer climates in order to keep my backpack manageable, with the thought that if I need a sweatshirt, jacket, etc. I think the rest of the world might have those too J

[Insert pic of map with pins]

I realize I might not get to all of these places and things will surely change, but here is a snapshot of where I would like to go.

  • New Zealand
  • Japan
  • SE Asia
  • Bhutan
  • Nepal
  • Maldives (splurge!)
  • Russia
  • The ‘Stans
  • Eastern Europe
  • Peru
  • Chile
  • Argentina

Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things you didn't do than by ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails.
